Sanjay Srivastava, PhD is a professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Oregonand director of the Personality and Social Dynamics Lab. He received his B.A. in psychology from Northwestern University and his Ph.D. in psychology from the University of California, Berkeley. Prior to coming to the University of Oregon, he was a postdoctoral research scientist at Stanford University. His research focuses on how personality affects and is affected by the social environment. This includes research on interpersonal perception, emotions, personality dynamics and development, and the psychology of online societies. He is President of the Society for the Improvement of Psychological Science, and in his work for that organization he has promoted initiatives for making the Society and the broader open science community more diverse and inclusive.
